This page lists the kinds of sources the Journal draws on and how data is handled.
News Sources
Curated briefs draw on official RSS feeds of established publishers of real estate, mortgage, and economic news. The current source list is maintained in the newsroom and reflected in the attribution on every brief. [PLACEHOLDER: Once feeds are finalized, list the publications here by name.]
Market Data
Local market observations come from MLS data available to licensed professionals, public records, and Omar Murillo’s direct transaction experience in the covered markets. Figures are dated as of publication; markets move, and past patterns do not guarantee future results.
Methodology for Analysis
Analysis pieces state their reasoning: what changed, which local markets it touches, and what a seller, buyer, or investor might do about it. Where a claim depends on a number, the Journal names the source of the number. Nothing on this site is legal, tax, or financial advice — consult the appropriate professional for your situation.
