According to HousingWire, SERHANT. has brought on Nick Janovsky as the director of luxury sales for the Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Gulf Beaches markets. Janovsky is now based in St. Petersburg and comes to the role with an impressive track record, having closed over 340 transactions representing more than $250 million in total sales volume throughout his career.
Janovsky spent his previous time with Premier Sotheby's International Realty, where he was recognized as a top producer for five consecutive years and earned rankings in the RealTrends Verified agent listings. He specialized in luxury waterfront properties, distinctive architectural homes, new development projects, investment properties, and helping executives relocate to the area. At Premier Sotheby's, he ran his own group focused on these segments.
In his announcement, Janovsky explained his motivation for the move. He noted that the real estate industry has evolved significantly over his decade-plus career in Tampa Bay's luxury market. He sees the future for advisors as those who can blend local knowledge with broader reach, combining relationships, strategy, marketing expertise, technology tools, and compelling storytelling all at once. He felt that SERHANT. offered exactly that combination by pairing local Florida expertise with national resources, sophisticated marketing capabilities, and a platform that could open doors for clients on a much bigger stage.
For context, SERHANT. itself has been on an expansion push in Florida since entering the state in 2023. The company has grown substantially since its launch in 2020, now operating with over 2,000 agents spread across 17 different markets around the country.
What I am seeing locally here in the Bay Area is how these national luxury brands continue to consolidate talent and market share. When firms like SERHANT. can attract seasoned professionals from established regional powerhouses, it signals how the game is shifting toward platforms that combine hyper-local expertise with national and international reach. For our East Bay sellers with luxury properties, this kind of competition and consolidation in the marketplace can actually work in their favor by pushing all of us to sharpen our marketing and networking strategies.
