According to HousingWire, The Real Brokerage has announced through SEC filings that Jenna Rozenblat, who currently serves as chief operating officer, will take on the role of president of the newly formed Real REMAX Group once the REMAX acquisition closes. Rozenblat has also been serving as the chief integration officer managing the transaction itself. The company described her as an exceptional leader and indicated confidence in her ability to lead the combined entity going forward.
The acquisition is expected to close within the next couple of weeks, though it still needs final court approval from the Supreme Court of British Columbia before becoming official. Both Real and REMAX shareholders already voted to approve the deal at special meetings held on Friday, which represents a significant milestone in bringing these two major real estate platforms together.
The leadership transition will be substantial. REMAX's current CEO Erik Carlson plans to step down when the deal closes and transition to a seat on the Real REMAX Board. HousingWire also reports that REMAX's chief growth officer and president Chris Lim, along with executive vice president of strategy Travis Saxton, have announced their departures, though these reports remain unconfirmed by REMAX and Real declined to comment on them.
What I am seeing locally here in the Bay Area is that consolidation at the national brokerage level continues to reshape how agents and brokers operate, and when two major platforms like this come together, it usually means significant changes in how we all conduct business regionally.
