Curated News BriefBased on original reporting by HousingWire (September 9, 2026). The summary below is the Journal’s; the local analysis is original commentary by Omar Murillo.

According to HousingWire, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Nevada Properties has brought on Cheri Hagan to lead their St. Rose office. She's someone who spent close to fifteen years in the real estate business, much of that time working with Coldwell Banker Realty out in Illinois where she built a strong reputation as both an agent and a manager.

What stands out about Hagan's background is that she's done it from both sides of the desk. She started as a top-producing agent herself before moving into management, where she eventually became an assistant branch vice president. In those leadership roles, she focused on coaching agents and helping them develop their businesses, which gives her real credibility when it comes to understanding what agents actually need to succeed.

In her new position at the St. Rose office, Hagan will be concentrating on three key areas: keeping agents engaged, helping the company hold onto good people, and building a stronger sense of community within the office. The CEO of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices for Nevada, Arizona, and California made the point that strong brokerages are built on creating places where agents feel supported and connected, and that Hagan's dual experience as both agent and leader positions her well to do that.

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Nevada operates a substantial operation, running twenty-four offices with around twenty-seven hundred agents across the region. Hagan is currently working on getting her Nevada real estate license while she settles in and becomes more active in the Las Vegas real estate community.

What I'm seeing locally here in the Bay Area and East Bay is that this kind of leadership focus on agent support and retention matters more than ever. Strong offices with experienced management that understand both sides of an agent's career tend to perform better, and that stability is good news for clients who need consistent, knowledgeable representation in what continues to be a complex market.
