According to HousingWire, West Capital Lending brought back Hass Beydoun as vice president, along with his entire team from Detroit-based Home Advantage Lending. Beydoun is bringing three loan officers and an in-house processor with him, and his group will continue working out of their downtown Detroit office while the company expands its Midwest footprint.
Beydoun has a solid track record in the mortgage industry, starting his career at Quicken Loans back in 2013 and moving through positions at loanDepot and Mortgage Center before launching his own brokerage in 2023. His company, Home Advantage Lending, has been doing meaningful business since its founding, and the HousingWire report notes that Beydoun emphasized the strength of West Capital's platform and culture as reasons for rejoining the firm.
This move represents the second major team addition for West Capital in recent months. Back in September, the company brought on Michael Cecero and his team of about thirty-three people, which brought considerable annual production capacity to the firm. The company is clearly investing in building out its presence and capabilities across different regions.
Part of what's drawing experienced operators like Beydoun back to West Capital is access to the company's Lead Store, a platform that provides loan originators with leads, performance data, and partnerships designed to help them grow their businesses. According to the HousingWire reporting, West Capital's leadership sees Beydoun's decision to return as validation of their growth strategy and the opportunities they're creating for operators who can both produce and lead teams.
What I am seeing locally here in the Bay Area is that mortgage professionals continue to seek out platforms that offer more than just basic lending infrastructure. The fact that someone like Beydoun, who had the independence of running his own shop, chose to return to a larger organization speaks to how important technology, support systems, and company culture have become in this industry. For buyers and sellers in the East Bay and greater Bay Area, this kind of consolidation and team building among lenders can mean better service options and more stability from the professionals handling their transactions.
